Quotations

All quotations provided by Touché Flooring are:

  • Free of charge unless otherwise stated
  • Based upon information available at the time of quotation
  • Subject to site inspection where necessary
  • Valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated

Additional work identified during a project may require a revised quotation or written variation.

Flooring Services

Whilst we take every reasonable step to achieve the best possible outcome, wood flooring is a natural product and results may vary depending on:

  • Age of the floor
  • Previous repairs
  • Timber species
  • Existing damage
  • Moisture levels
  • Historical maintenance
  • Structural movement

We cannot guarantee that all defects, stains or damage can be completely removed through restoration.

Wood Floor Sanding & Restoration

The purpose of restoration is to improve the appearance, performance and longevity of existing flooring.

Customers acknowledge that:

  • Existing repairs may remain visible after sanding
  • Timber colour variations are natural
  • Filled gaps may behave differently depending on seasonal movement
  • Some stains or damage may remain partially visible
  • Historic repairs may become more noticeable following restoration

We will advise where any limitations are identified before work begins.

Colour Matching & Staining

Where staining or colour changes are requested:

  • Sample approval may be required before work proceeds
  • Final colours may vary due to timber species, age and previous treatments
  • Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed
  • Lighting conditions may affect perceived colour

Customers are responsible for approving stain samples prior to application.

Wood Floor Installation

Where Touché Flooring installs new flooring:

  • Flooring materials should be inspected upon delivery
  • Any concerns regarding product quality or appearance should be raised before installation
  • Installed flooring will be deemed accepted once fitting has commenced

Natural variations in colour, grain and texture are characteristics of genuine wood products and are not considered defects.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Flooring

LVT flooring should be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Customers should note:

  • Heavy furniture may leave indentations
  • Direct sunlight may affect flooring appearance over time
  • Subfloor condition can influence the finished appearance

Touché Flooring will prepare the subfloor to industry standards where included within the quotation.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing safe access to the property
  • Ensuring the working area is clear where agreed
  • Disclosing any known floor defects or property issues
  • Ensuring pets and children are kept away from working areas
  • Providing access to electricity and other necessary services

Delays caused by restricted access or unforeseen site conditions may affect project timescales.

Payments

Payment terms will be outlined within your quotation or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Deposits may be required before work commences
  • Interim payments may be required on larger projects
  • Final balances are payable upon completion

Late payments may result in additional charges and interest being applied in accordance with applicable legislation.

Cancellations

If a project is cancelled after acceptance but before work begins, Touché Flooring reserves the right to recover reasonable costs already incurred, including:

  • Materials ordered
  • Site visits completed
  • Administrative costs
  • Specialist surveys

Any cancellation charges will be communicated clearly.
